“Alangkah Lucunya (Negeri Ini)” is a movie produced by Citra Cinema which depicts the lives of the society below. This intelligent comedy tells how important education and efforts to foster a sense of love towards the homeland. The film was the scene of its player’s performance excellence in acting. There were nine names trophy image winning that collaborate to produce a quality spectacle.

 

Interpretative Recount

Since 2 years of graduating with a degree in Management, Muluk (Reza Rahardian) has not yet got a job. The fact he was paired with girl’s Haji Sarbini (Jaja Miharja) makes Muluk little frustrating because he was too long unemployed. Until Muluk met with Komet, a child who is a pickpocket. Komet brings Muluk to his base home, and then introduced to his boss who called Jarot.
            Seeing the lives of young children as pickpockets, emerging ideas in the his head to manage the finances of these little pickpockets and educate them. For that, Muluk requesting return of 10% of the pilfer. He also invited his friends, Samsul (Asrul Dahlan) and Pipit (Tika Bravani) to work together to educate them and change their ways of thinking to no longer be a pickpocket.
            The climax of this story is when Muluk’s father (Deddy Mizwar) knowing money earned from Muluk is obtained by pilfers. He is not willing to eat from the forbidden money and then reject all the money given by Muluk. Ironically, all newly discovered precisely when Muluk success to lead children to not pick again and start their lives as peddlers. Then Muluk was worried, between feeling guilty for eating the forbidden money and the desire to continue to accompany the children to be fully well.

 

Evaluation

            Overall, this movie is very entertaining, flowing, and filled with messages, far different from other films. This film successfully brings the reality of the country today, combined with religious teachings and with a little touch of drama and humor. The dialog very light, but actually able to satirize the condition of this nation.
            “Alangkah Lucunya (Negeri Ini)” is also supported by players excelling in acting and can simply acting out their respective roles. Even if you really appreciate, at the end of the movie you'll probably shed a tear cause Reza Rahadian perfect acting. 

Very difficult to find flaws in the movie “Alangkah Lucunya (Negeri Ini)”. All so real and enjoyable. However, this film is still lacking, here is something that entrepreneurs seem less respectable. In addition, the ending raises many unanswered questions. For example, so what Muluk few years later? how the fate of Komet, Glen, and friends? This movie should show what happened to them in 5 years later to become more clear how important to be an educated person.
